General FAQs

GAOTE is the short hand name or initials for Global Association of Online Trainers and Examiners. Whose purpose is to empower online examiners and trainers with the skills and knowledge to design and deliver high-quality online courses and assessments that meet global standards and expectations.

GAOTE's main mission is to support online examiners and trainers in the design and delivery of high-quality online courses and assessments that meet global standards and expectations. However, the system is also able to provide a platform where awarding/examining institutions, scholars and trainers share academic certification information to users through their permanent open access identifiers.

GAOTE certifications are widely recognized by employers and academic institutions. Specific recognition details may depend on the country or industry.

The certiifcate is issued after paying membership fee. 

  1. Scholars have to make a membership fee of USD 50 
  2. Trainers have to make a membership fee of USD 100 
  3. Institution have to make a membership fee of USD 350 

Yes, a globally recognized certificate complies with international standards, making it valid and verifiable in multiple countries, industries and institutions.

We allow payments in installments. 

A desire to undertake online courses where one has not taken any online courses in the past. For experienced scholars, they should have undertaken one online course elsewhere. Having no experience does not invalidate your scholar membership

Desire to be recognised as an online trainer or where experience is available, demonstrated ability to teach online courses in individual capacity or through an online course provider.

Demonstrated desire to offer accredited online courses for first timers. Course providers who are already providing online courses get an automatic qualification to be institution members after paying the membership fee

Once you register as an institutional member, you are expected to pay membership fees of $350 (annual) as you apply or later on after you login with the username and password sent to your email. The step to step process of accrediting course is given to institution who have become premium members (those who have paid up membership fees).

The time line for accrediting a course is within 2-3 months from date of application. The cost of accrediting a course (service only available to paid up/premium members) is between $101 and $480 and depends on the length of the course, with short courses with 1 academic credit being accredited at $101 and a degree of 4 years (480 academic credits) being accredited at a cost of $580.

The eligibility to be member institution is if you are offering an online course or a planning to offer online courses. We only accrediting online courses for our institutions members , because they are our members, so no need to accredit the institution further
